How to Create and Manage Email Templates

Templates save you from rewriting the same email every time. Build one, reuse it across campaigns, edit whenever you need to.

Where to find templates

Open Link Builder > Pitch Templates in the sidebar. Every saved template shows up as a card with its name, format (HTML or Plain Text), subject line, and creation date.

Create a template

Click New Template at the top. Fill in the form:

  • Template Name — something specific works best (e.g., "Skyscraper Resource Page Outreach")
  • Template Format — HTML or Plain Text
  • Subject Line — your email subject. Variables work here too
  • Email Body — write your email in the editor

Variables you can use anywhere in the template:

  • {{firstName}} — recipient's first name
  • {{lastName}} — recipient's last name
  • {{Domains}} — the target domain
  • {{accountSignature}} — your email signature

Hit Create Template when you're done.

Manage your templates

Hover over any card and you'll see two options:

  • Duplicate — makes a copy you can edit without touching the original
  • Delete — permanently removes the template

By default, templates are sorted newest first. Use the search bar to find one by name, subject line, or body text.

Use a template in a campaign

When setting up a campaign, click Select from Template. The Template Library opens. From there you can:

  • Browse all your templates or filter by category
  • Search by name
  • Preview the subject and body before committing
  • Click Use to load it into the campaign editor

The subject line and body copy into the editor. Change anything you want before sending.
